Pre-K through 6th Grade
We use Akaloo, an on-line curriculum, in our Pre-K through 6th grade classes. Akaloo is divided into five units (Bible, God, Disciple, Church and World) with an overall focus of discipleship. This material offers teaching lessons for all styles of learning, including multi-intelligence methods of reaching all children. Teachers can access curriculum from home and are able to custom design their lesson plan to meet the needs of their class. Each registered Church School family is given access to the Akaloo website to learn about upcoming Church School events and lesson plans. With parental permission children also have access to on-line activities and games that support lesson plans.
7th and 8th Grade
The curriculum for our 7th and 8th Grade combined class includes many opportunities for mission work within our church and local communities, developing skills and knowledge to prepare them for Confirmation in 9th grade and learning about world and Christian religions in alternating years.
